La Festa Primavera will once again take place from April 18 to 20 as a sister event of La Festa Mille Miglia, which we will celebrate the 14th anniversary this fall. We are happy to announce that La Festa Primavera, which began its operation in Kinki Area last year, will be held as an official FIVA event this time.

This year, the event has attracted 53 car entries, including 11 pre-war cars. Those classic cars recognized worldwide will begin their race at Umeda Sky Building in Osaka prefecture, pass through cutting-edge streets as well as historic landmarks with ancient atmospheres, such as Ise Jingu Shrine, Suzuka Circuit, Hikone Castle, Hieizan (Mt. Hiei), Heian Jingu Shrine, Nara Park, and drive towards the goal at Osaka Castle. Please refer to Route Map/Time Plan in “Contents” for the stamp points and the time of passage.

We, the Organizing Committee, have already completed the route setting and now relentlessly crisscrossing the five prefectures – Osaka, Kyoto, Mie, Shiga and Nara – for final meetings with each local government. (By the way, five years ago we had started driving this new official car for the sole purpose of measuring the route’s distance, and recently its odometer exceeded 200,000 kilometers!).

We will do our best to make this year’s La Festa Primavera even more successful than the already successful last year’s event.

All the participants, audience along the route, and all the fans of classic cars – please do not miss La Festa Primavera 2010 beginning on April 18.
