La Festa Primavera 2017

Objective and Ideology

The incorporation of hybrid technology, cruise control, active driving assistance systems (Eye-Sight), diesel cleaning systems, and navigation systems has increase safety and comfort of modern automobiles.

The cars at La Festa Primavera do not have any of these modern "advances". In vintage cars, there's no automatic transmission, nor Synchromesh system. There's no power steering, which makes driving the car feel like exercise. You will feel the heat, cold, and rain with no air conditioning. The engine does not always start on the first try. In fact, there is risk of not reaching your final destination in a vintage car.

Nevertheless, there is nothing like driving a vintage car like ones at La Festa Primavera. Reaching your final destination without the bells-and-whistles is extremely satisfying.

The first Mille Miglia race was held in Italy in 1927. Today it's held as a Stamp rally and it has become the most renowned vintage car event in the world. It is held each May.
La Festa Mille Miglia has been recognized by the Mille Miglia Committee and FIVA as the only official event connected to the Mille Miglia race. Together with La Festa Primavera, La Festa Mille Miglia shares with Mille Miglia race in Italy, the 3 common principles at the base of the original idea of the festival: love and respect for vintage cars, feeling young at heart, and fellowship among enthusiasts.

In our fast, modern societies, we cherish the value of Mille Miglia, La Festa Mille Miglia and La Festa Primavera. They remind us how things used to be in the past.
